Features and Updates
The Meta Quest cloud save system automatically uploads your save-game when you uninstall an application. When you re-install, your last save will be downloaded and you can pick up where you left off.
It’s possible that the Meta Quest cloud save system did not upload the last bit of progress you made on your previous headset. Usually, cloud saves happen automatically at night, but if your headset is low on power or not connected to the Internet the cloud save could fail. Uninstalling the game from your old headset will also trigger a cloud save - but be sure you are connected to the Internet.
Yes. We provide general support for USB input devices, which allows limited functionality with some HOTAS and physical joystick hardware. Due to Android and Unity input system limitations, not all devices, or all axes, buttons, and switches on supported devices, may be detected or function correctly. Improving compatibility would require significant additional development effort, and because fewer than 1% of Quest users have requested this feature, HOTAS support is currently offered, but may not be optimized.
Not yet. Support for the bHaptics TactSuit vest is currently in development, and we are actively working on integrating it for a future update.
Dawn of Jets is designed from the ground up to run on the Meta Quest 2, 3 and 3s. We currently don’t have a version for PCVR (Steam) but may consider creating one in the future. We are looking into support for the Pico headset as well as the new Steam Frame.

To reset your view, you can hold the red “Reset Position” button in the cockpit until the seat recenters, or hold the Oculus button on your right controller to recenter instantly. To adjust the seat manually, use the four silver buttons to move the seat up, down, forward, or backward, allowing you to position yourself comfortably and align your view properly in the cockpit.
Meta does not automatically "push" updates to every customer at the same time. Rather, updates are scheduled out. It could be hours or days before you automatically receive the update. Usually you can go to the game's listing in your App Library, click the 3-dot menu, and manually pull down the latest version.
Also note that some people online may be discussing new features that are only available in the "public beta" or "private beta" release channels. If you would like to see and test new features, we often make them available to existing users via the PUB BETA release channel.
For more information, see the FAQ on "How do I join the public beta (PUB BETA) release channel?"
Note that Meta frequently changes the interface for these features, so understand that any specific instructions we provide are subject to change.
Existing customers are invited to try new features early by opting-in to the public beta (PUB BETA) release channel. Meta Quest makes it easy to switch between the “LIVE” version of a game, and this test channel.
On Your Browser
Navigate to the Dawn of Jets store page at https://vr.meta.me/s/23LnUQlWt37xcCo (https://vr.meta.me/s/23LnUQlWt37xcCo)Scroll down until you see “Version + release notes” and choose the “PUB BETA” option from the drop-down. (If you don’t see a drop-down, then you likely did not accept the testing invite.)

After making this change, the next time you use your headset it should show an update is available for Dawn of Jets.
In Your Headset
In the headset, first open your app library. Then, find Dawn of Jets and click on the “3-dot” menu. Choose “Settings” from this menu.
On the Settings menu, choose “Release Channels”. From the Release Channels dialog box, choose the “PUB BETA” option, and click confirm.
Installing The Beta
After choosing the PUB BETA release channel, there is a chance that the beta version will start downloading automatically. However, in many cases it is best to uninstall the current version of Dawn of Jets, and then re-install it. (Meta will save your game progress.)
Leaving The Beta
To switch back to the LIVE (store) version of the game, simply follow the same instructions and choose “LIVE” from the Release Channels menu. “LIVE” is always the latest retail version of the game.
From time to time we may release updates that include new multiplayer features. Some of these features will require a change to the network protocol... the way the game sends data around the Internet.
When the network protocol changes, "new" versions of the game become incompatible with "old" versions. This is handled by separating multiplayer into 2 sets of lobbies, "new" and "old."
If you have opted-in to the PUB BETA channel to get these features early, you will be using the "new" version of the game. During the testing period, you will therefore see fewer active games online. After we make the update LIVE, Meta rolls out the new version over the course of a few days and more and more people will move to the "new" set of lobbies.
Please note that not every game update also change the network protocol, so this should happen infrequently.
